It's been a few years since I actually kept a blog. Now that I've been living in Charlotte for a month and each day seems to be chock full of things to talk about I guess I'm picking up the habit again. Secretly it's my way of staying in touch without having to individually talk to folks. No, Charlotte has not made me that anti-social...yet. So here I am in Charlotte...the Queen City...Chi-Town. Yes, I've on more than one occassion heard it referred to as Chi-Town. Now something like Char-Town would make sense to me (although it doesn't quite roll of the tounge the same way), but Chi-Town? When did I move to Illinois?? It was quite a drive to get here, but I didn't think it was THAT far. I'm still trying to figure that nickname out and I refuse to use it. I wouldn't want to look like a tourist who got hit by the light rail or something.
The one thing I have learned today is that TV is totally unpredictable and CBS rocks ABC anyday. Long story short...thanks to the Bulls losing their game last night the NBA finals were moved up to start Tuesday. Not a big deal unless you work in TV and it is a HOLIDAY weekend and you have 4 logs to get out. Of course with all the programming changes I was ready to pull my hair out by noon. I even threatened an Account Executive that I would kill her if she called me again to ask me to make petty changes to her orders. While I can honestly say I've thought about killing AE's I don't recall a time I've ever actually said it to their face. Lets hope I have a job on Tuesday. :)
